Each breastfeeding is about 15 to 20 minutes. Depending on the sucking ability and living ability, the duration of each breastfeeding should be prolonged or shortened appropriately, so that it is better to eat.
As long as the baby is full, he will sleep soundly. Whether the baby is full or not full can be observed through sleep.
Baby's breastfeeding posture
1. Lying on the side (football) holding method: place your baby on one side of your body, support his back with your forearms, and rest your neck and head on your hands. If you have just recovered from a cesarean section, this is a very suitable position because it puts little pressure on the wound.
2. Side hug method: You can lie on your side on the bed, with your baby's face facing you, resting your baby's head on your arms, and keeping his mouth and your nipple level. Support your back with pillows.
3. Cradle holding method: Use the inner side of the elbow joint of your arm to support your baby's head, make his abdomen close to your body, and use the other hand to support your breast. Because the breasts are barely exposed, it will be better for breastfeeding.
4. Rugby holding posture: The rugby holding posture is suitable for those BB who have difficulty in feeding, and at the same time, it can also help the mother to observe the child and adjust the position of the BB when the child is feeding.
How old is the best breastfeeding baby
Both the World Health Organization and the Ministry of Health of our country recommend that breastfeeding can last up to two years of age. Of course, while breastfeeding during this period, the baby can add complementary foods to 6 months old, mixed feeding or pure artificial feeding (such as formula milk). Complementary food can be added in 4-6 months.
However, considering that the statutory maternity leave for pregnant mothers is only about 3 months, it is difficult for many professional women to insist on breastfeeding their babies for a long time. Therefore, some experts said that breastfeeding is best for babies from 8 months to 1 year old.
