A look complexion
Normal full-term babies have a ruddy complexion, and most newborns will develop physiological jaundice after 2 to 4 days, which will usually subside within two weeks. If the jaundice of a full-term baby has not subsided after more than 2 weeks, you need to take the baby to see a doctor to see if it is caused by disease or other reasons. In addition, the baby's pale or even graying is also a sign of illness, and parents need to be vigilant.
Second look at body temperature
Parents are best to choose the baby's body temperature 30 minutes after feeding, when the baby is quiet. The normal surface temperature of a newborn is 36.5℃~37.5℃. Keep warm when the temperature is lower than 36.5℃. When the body temperature exceeds 37.5℃ and is lower than 38.5, reduce the clothes for the baby. After half an hour, take the baby's body temperature again. If the body temperature does not drop, take the baby to the hospital in time.
Three look at breathing
Normal newborn babies usually breathe 40-60 times per minute when they are in a quiet state. You can see the baby's chest and abdomen rise and fall rhythmically. Babies generally breathe abdominally. Parents can count the breaths according to the baby's characteristics, and observe whether the baby's breathing rhythm is regular, whether the breathing depth is consistent, whether there are peculiar smells, irritability, flapping of the nose, and blue lips when breathing. When your child has abnormal breathing, you should take your child to the hospital for examination as soon as possible.
Normal baby crying is loud, turning, and rhythmic. If you sleep all the time without crying or making trouble, it does not mean that your baby is good, but that he is sick and should seek medical attention as soon as possible. If the baby is not well coaxed, the face is pale and the expression is painful when crying, the child should also be taken to the doctor as soon as possible.
Five look at eating milk
A normal baby sucks vigorously and spit out less milk. Under normal circumstances, newborns breastfeed 8 to 12 times a day, once every 2 to 3 hours. Only by ensuring frequent sucking, can milk secretion be ensured. On the first day of life, the baby can only eat a few milliliters each time. On the 3rd day of birth, I can eat 25-30 ml each time. It can reach 60~80ml in a few days. From 15 days to full moon, the amount of milk is 80~120ml each time. The size and growth characteristics of each baby's stomach are different, so parents should observe more.
