I was seeking a multi-functional scale that my husband and I could use, and that we could also weigh our new puppy on. I used a 10lb kettlebell and the scale read 9.99lb and 9lb 15.4oz (both of which are close enough in margin of error for my purposes). I shopped Amazon for a while looking for a sale that went up to 300lbs with a top for weighing small pets and this was the best value I could find. Very happy with this purchase.
Needed a scale for my kitten. He was really sick and it was important to be able to be able to track his weight. Overall it worked great! The only negative is, it would tip if the kitten wasnt centered on it. Fortunately the scale did read the weight quickly. I did use treats to reward him for getting on the scale and waiting. Now he will just lay on it anytime he wants a treat!
I bought this to weigh the world’s tiniest dog and it’s great. Didn’t want to medicate her with flea stuff til she hit 4 pounds. Then she got sick and I’m glad I had it.
Works very well for cats! It’s very easy to put together (instructions are included) and the additional shelf thing gives a lot of extra space, making it perfect to use for cats. I’m sure it would also be great for babies or small dogs, but wouldn’t know from experience on those. It’s extremely sensitive, if you even walk on the floor next to it you’ll see a change in numbers. You do have to kind of estimate the ounces if you have a wiggly critter, due to it being SO sensitive. The sensitivity makes it extremely accurate, but only if you have a still subject 😂 The plastic shelf is easy to clean, whether it’s put together or taken apart. It’s simple to take apart and put back together for smaller storage.
